Illuminating Young Minds: The LED Bulb Project at Bethany Ashram High School

As the new academic year dawns upon Bethany Ashram High School, Cherukulanji, we are excited to welcome our new students with a unique and enlightening gift - an LED bulb. This project, born out of a desire to spark curiosity and a love for science in our young learners, was made possible through the generous sponsorship of Father Joseph Varambumkal OIC, our esteemed director.

Father Joseph's vision for Bethany Ashram High School is not only to provide quality education but also to nurture a spirit of innovation and sustainability among our students. His unwavering support for this project reflects his deep commitment to these values. He believes that by involving students in practical, hands-on activities, we can ignite their passion for learning and foster a deeper understanding of the world around them.

The journey to create these LED bulbs was an educational and rewarding experience. With the invaluable assistance of my colleagues, Binu sir Roshan Sir and Titus Sir, we embarked on this mission with great enthusiasm. Their expertise and dedication were crucial in bringing this project to fruition.

The LED bulb kits, provided by Father Joseph, contained all the necessary components for assembling a functioning bulb. The process involved several steps, each requiring careful attention and precision. We started with a brief introduction to the basics of electricity and the functioning of LEDs. The students were then guided through the process of connecting the LED to the circuit, ensuring proper polarity, and securing all connections.

Throughout the assembly process, we emphasized the importance of safety and the principles of energy efficiency. The students learned how LEDs consume less power and have a longer lifespan compared to traditional incandescent bulbs, making them a more sustainable choice.

Witnessing the excitement and satisfaction on the faces of our students as they successfully assembled their own LED bulbs was truly heartwarming. This project not only equipped them with practical skills but also instilled a sense of achievement and confidence.

As we distribute these LED bulbs during the school reopening ceremony, we hope they serve as a symbol of the bright future that lies ahead for each student. We are confident that this initiative will inspire them to explore the wonders of science and technology further.
